Worship
Worship time is 10:30 a.m. except between mid-June and Labor Day weekend when service is at 9:30 a.m. Fellowship time with coffee follows the service. Childcare is provided.
Holy Communion is the first Sunday of each month and on special Holy Days.
Adult and infant baptism is performed on request.
Church School for all ages is at 9:30 a.m. September through May.
Style of Worship
Worship is at the heart of our common life at First and St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ. We believe that as we come together as a diverse people, we join in a common journey as seekers. Life-transforming worship is essential as we seek to be on a spiritual path and to live out our faith in the world and in our daily life.
Our worship combines some of the rich dynamics of the historical liturgies combined with fresh and dynamic words and community participation. The music and hymns blend into a rich tapestry of expression. Preaching seeks to be engaging and challenging. From our worship we respond as a forgiven, valued and loved person in service and in the daily living of our lives. |
